FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS | THE MESSI FACT vs THE RONALDO THEORY

Last nights Spanish Super Cup Final has given me two startling empirical results from the same unique experiment . Apart from the intense level of play, the Football, the aggressiveness, the tackles, the violence, the unfortunate & inexcusable actions of some on both teams, along with the out of order comments & controversy, what has been branded in my mind is the following outcome test result & this observable image:
Sporting greatness ( not good, not excellent,  but time transcendent Greatness & beyond ) is beholden on someone when that person takes it upon themselves to be the active protagonist , element, cause & instigator during the big moments,  & during unique transcendental events. Not only does that person contribute - with a pass -,  but defines the result - with goals. The evidence of the existence is experience, & when the above repeats itself on all levels it makes the observation into a fact. FC Barcelona player LIONEL MESSI could well be that example, a Football example, of theory being proven via continuous experiments that give the same viable & steady result which turns it into fact.
Greatness ( same definition as above ) cannot be given if the theory cannot be proven, observed or experienced.  The theory needs to be observed,  but more importantly, needs to stand empirical testing on repeated occasions & experiments to make it a viable & stable truth.  The "test tube" for greatness (Football in this case) are again as already said, the big moments, the all important events that gives the individual the World stage & all the spot lights, to be observed.

The proven & observable big names & stars (Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Di Stefano...etc) have all taken their opportunity, performed as expected, lead by example, pulled single handedly their own team onto collective,  & thus individual glory. And  here is the point, on repeated & continuous occasions during unique transcendental moments which makes them into an empirical fact.

Real Madrid player CRISTIANO RONALDO does not fit ( for the moment) this particular Football model & theory of greatness. The player ( not the person ) is still a Theory , we are all still waiting to observe events & actions that will turn the theory into experience & thus a fact. For the moment the only analogy I can give the "Cristiano Ronaldo Theory" is "the invisible man". In the unique, special & transcendental Football moments Ronaldo disappears on a regular basis. Thus observable & experienced.

His Manchester United Champions title & Real Madrid Spanish Cup title are flashes of the possible existent & potential of a stable theory that could develop into Greatness. While Lionel Messi is an observable, repeated & stable fact , not theory, of Greatness already in action.

REAL MADRID |FABIO COENTRAO|latest Updates

Spanish paper "AS" reports that Portuguese International & BENFICA player FABIO COENTRAO could solve his future this week with Spanish Football Club REAL MADRID. This transfer rumour gets stronger & stronger as the days go on which makes one think that there could be some real truth behind it all. The player has publically said that he wishes only to be transferred to Real Madrid & his National team-mate, Cristiano Ronaldo, has pressured with favourable comments that he would be a grand signing. The other hint is Coentrao representative Jorge Mendes, also representative of Ronaldo, Di Maria, Carvalho, Pepe & Coach Mourinho, seen around the Benfica club office.
The rumoured negotiation is being talked about approximately 25M€ to which Benfica only wants in cash. However, Real Madrid desires to lower the costs by including defender GARAY in the deal. Last news is that their is plenty of work these days at the offices of both Clubs. Stay tuned!

Spanish Football|MALAGA FC SIGNS RUUD VAN NISTELROOY|MALAGA

RUUD VAN NISTELROOY returns to SPANISH FOOTBALL after leaving Real Madrid & playing in Germany with HAMBURG. In fact, the Dutch player lived frustrating moments during last Christmas when his Club refused to let him go in the "Winter Market" when Real Madrid showed interest in contracting his services.
With the end of the season & his contract over with Hamburg, the Football player has cheerfully embraced the call from Spanish Football Club MALAGA to sign for next season,  & with an option of another year if things finish well, plus free of transfer fee. Malaga will officially presents Van Nistelrooy to media this afternoon.

Malaga gains a much loved & admired Football player who proved his excepcional goal worth during his last stint in Spain with Real Madrid. A true "goal scoring machine" that will guarantee upfront effectiveness & quality as Malaga plan big for next season.

Nice to see you back Ruud!

2011 FC BARCELONA |LIONEL MESSI 2011|FC BARCELONA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2011 WINNERS

The Football World has rendered itself to the feet of FC BARCELONA Argentine forward LIONEL MESSI. Spanish Football press & media have dedicated covers & pages to the player as he once again put in a brilliant performance & goal to help FC Barcelona win 3 - 1 Manchester United in the Champions League Final.

ATLETICO DE MADRID | SERGIO AGUERO - TIME TO SAY GOODBYE|Its End

The main talk today in SPANISH FOOTBALL is the unilateral communicaction via his "twitter" & personal blog, that ATLETICO DE MADRID Argentine forward SERGIO AGUERO wishes to leave the Club. In a message to everyone,  the player dropped the "bomb" around 22.00 saying "...Time has come for me to part". This should not really catch anyone by surprise as it has been written on the transfers wall for months. In fact, Aguero renewed his contract with Atletico last year with a pact lowering his contract release clause from 60 to 45M€ & that he would be allowed to leave at the end of the season.
The Atletico de Madrid Directives, especially the Director General Gil Marin ( the real owner with 80% of shares) & Club President Enrique Cerezo ( 20% shares) are claiming publicly that the player is not on sale & that if any team wishes to take him away that they pay his release clause of 45M€ plus VAT of 18%. It is "vox populi" that both Gil Marin & Cerezo do not communicate with each other & this is tearing up the Club, but both are jointly saying that Aguero will not go, under any circumstances, to REAL MADRID.

An obvious message as the fan base is on the verge of a total revolution as they see the team disintegrate. Coach Quique Sanchez Flores leaves along with Diego Forlan, plus it looks like the Club hero Aguero cannot be stopped either, plus to added to the fire, reports place goalkeeper De Gea in Manchester United. The Atletico de Madrid Directives have hardly been known to say the "truth" & have to figure out how to come across to the fans as the "good guys" in all this crisis.

In reference to SERGIO AGUERO, the news is mixed & not clear to which Club he will end up at next season. There are three clear names & all three in Champions League next season: MANCHESTER CITY, CHELSEA FC & REAL MADRID CF. The first has gained strenght in these last days, especially if Real Madrid does not wish to pay the full release clause with VAT included & also wished to avoid a "war" with its neighbour. Atletico insists that Aguero will go anywhere ( if agreed) expect to the local "enemy".

Said this, there are still reports, gossip & rumours surfacing daily that REAL MADRID is the final destination & has been for months.

Stay tuned for developments, as the only thing that is certain is that the Atletico de Madrid insignia will not continue next year after 5 glorious years at the Club.

Highest Earners In FOOTBALL - SOCCCER | HIGHEST PAID COACHES IN THE WORLD|Coachers Payments

SPANISH SPORTS daily "Sport" has an interesting article today that I thought may interest readers. They take a look at the highest earners in World Football-Soccer from the angle of Coaches .
What catches the eye & motivated the press story is the number two spot now under Diego Armando Maradona. The ex-Argentine National Team Selector & Coach has taken up the job of Coach at Al Wasl (Dubai) with a 12M€ salary. The only person ahead of Maradona is José Mourinho the REAL MADRID Coach in the Nº1 position with 13,5M€.

There is a Spanish Coach in the list who is RAFAEL BENITEZ & has the figure of 10,2M€ when he was at Inter Milan. The man is currently without Club & with that salary very few could pay for his services.
