Today Sport's : Golf News/ Kamasova wins Lalla Meryem Cup

Zuzana Kamasova claimed victory at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco after a final-round 76 saw her to a two-shot win.

Kamasova, who becomes the first woman from Slovakia to win a Ladies' European Tour title, came home ahead of French amateur Alexandra Bonetti (66), Germany's Caroline Masson (71) and England's (pictured) Kiran Matharu (74).

Despite a scrappy four-over-par round, Kamasova had done enough over previous three days and went into the final day with a four-stroke lead which in the end proved sufficient after overnight challengers Sarah Kemp (75) and Masson failed to do enough.

"I am just super happy. It really means the world to me because golf is new in Slovakia," said Kamasova.

"Altogether we have 6000 golfers so it is not even viewed as a sport until now unfortunately.

"For me to win a tournament might actually move the sport in Slovakia forward."
