Karina Smirnoff Poses For Playboy, Jeopardizes Her Future on Dancing With the Stars
Most people know Karina Smirnoff as one of the dancers on the hit television show “Dancing With the Stars.”
However, she’s also in a relationship with baseball pitcher Brad Penny (yeah, I’m as confused as you) and soon she’ll be adding Playboy cover girl to her resume.
"Smirnoff posed for the May issue of Playboy and will be naked inside according to the New York Daily News. For the family-friendly show, this is something that has not made the powers that be happy," reports Randy McMullen of the Contra Costa Times.
“If Karina posed naked, she can kiss her dancing days goodbye," a "DWTS" insider told the PopEater celebrity website. ABC has not commented officially on the matter.
“Smirnoff has been a successful and popular competitor on the show, which is a ratings giant. This season, she is paired with Ralph Macchio, who looks to contend for the show's top prize.”
You have to be kidding me. If they kick Smirnoff off of the show for this, then these people are the biggest hypocrites I’ve ever seen. They’d kick her off of the show, but went out and courted Kendra Wilkinson to dance on the show.
This is the same woman who has posed for Playboy multiple times, willingly flashed parts of her body to strangers and was in a relationship with Hugh Hefner, yet they’d somehow have an issue with one of their dancers posing for the same magazine? That reeks of hypocrisy.
What makes them mad is that they didn’t know about it, or in other words, weren’t able to ensure that she never took her clothes off for the magazine. It’s her body, it’s her right and she’s not harming anyone by doing it.
I’m not exactly sure what they’re trying to protect by getting angry over this, but it’s a big joke as far as I’m concerned. I’m glad Smirnoff stuck it to the powers that be and I would to have loved to have been a fly on the wall when those executives found out.
